//// I. Introduction \\\\\\

--------------------------------------------------------

This FAQ is for a game called Serious Sam. Serious Sam is a shooter

that takes a very interesting approach. Basically, you are out against

a ton of enemies and you have to kill them. There are also a few

puzzles and stuff like that so this FAQ is meant to help people who

can't get past one of these puzzles.

//// III. Controls \\\\\\

--------------------------------------------------------

The controls are fairly standard for a PC FPS. Basically, you move with

the keyboard and shoot with the mouse. Here is a little more detailed

explanation.

Directional Pad on Keyboard - Moving in forward, left, right, and

backward.

Mouse (moving) - Turning

Thing in center of mouse (up and down) - Switch Weapons

Left Mouse (Click) - Shoot

Right Mouse (Click) - Bring up Menu (I believe)

1 - Switch Weapon

2 - Switch Weapon

3 - Switch Weapon

The controls are pretty easy to learn and you'll get used to them very

quickly.

//// IV. Enemies \\\\\\

--------------------------------------------------------

///////////////////////////

1. Gnaar, Female

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Mammal

5 feet tall

Low Endurance

Low Hostility

Bites and Punches

Threat: Low

This guy is first enemy in the game. Alone they are very easy. However,

when they come together, you should beware of them. Even then, you

should be able to beat them rather easily.

///////////////////////////

2. Beheaded Firecracker

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Cyber Zombie

6 feet tall

Very Low Endurance

Very Low Hostility

Magic Missile Launcher

Threat: None

This one is very easy. No where in the game should you have even a

little bit of trouble with him. He is very weak and easily beatable.

///////////////////////////

3. Beheaded Kamikaze

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Cyber-Zombie

6 feet tall

Very Low Endurance

Extreme Hostility

Hand Grenades

Threat: High

This guy will have two grenades in his hand. Keep shooting him before

he attacks with them to beat him. He is dangerous if you don't take him

out quickly. However, if you destroy him quickly, you'll be okay.

(Note: He will explode when you kill him)

///////////////////////////

4. Kleer Skeleton

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Undead

9 feet tall

Low Endurance

Medium Hostility

Jumping attacks

Threat: Medium

These guy are easy when you first meet them. They don't get much

harder, however, there are pints in the game where 20 or so come at

you. It takes them a while to attack, so take them out before they get

the chance to harm you in any way.

///////////////////////////

5. Sirian Werebull

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Mammal

9 feet big

Low Endurance

Medium Hostility

Horns

Threat: Medium

These guys are just annoying. They charge at you. You have to shoot

them and them quickly get out of the way. They aren't that hard, but

will take a few shots to kill. (If you use the Rocket Launcher you'll

get him in one. By that time, you'll never have less than six coming at

you.)

///////////////////////////

6. Archnoid, Adult

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Arthropod

20-25 feet big

High Endurance

Extreme Hostility

Chain Gun, Tail String

Threat: High

The first time you encounter this guy he is very easy because all you

have to do is shoot him from a distance. He gets harder, but he's

nothing you can't take care of rather easily.

///////////////////////////

7. Archnoid, Juvenile

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Arthropod

10 feet big

Medium Endurance

Extreme Hostility

Chain Gun, Tail String

Threat: High

This guys the same as the Adult Archnoid except he is a little easier

to kill and a lot smaller.

///////////////////////////

8. Scythian Witch - Harpy

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Mammal

5 feet Standing

Low Endurance

Medium Hostility

Magic Projectiles, Claws

Threat: Low

This guy is VERY annoying. They come at you from above in great

numbers. To defeat them, you should use any regular gun and shoot up.

They are very annoying, but not THAT hard.

///////////////////////////

9. Beheaded Rocketeer

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Cyber-Zombie

6 ft big

Very Low Endurance

Very Low Hostility

Magic Missile Launcher

He is very similar to the Beheaded Firecracker. Very weak and a cinch

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Mammal

10 feet big

Medium Endurance

Medium Hostility

Twin Hand Plasma Launcher

long-range weapons. Just move around and shoot. You will beat him

easily.

///////////////////////////

11. Beheaded Bomber

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Cyber-Zombie

6 ft big

Low Endurance

Very Low Hostility

Hand Grenades

Threat: None

Except for the Beheaded Kamikaze, this guy is the hardest "Beheaded

Enemy." That's not saying much. He is still very easy to beat and you

won't have any problems.

///////////////////////////

12. Cucurbito the Pumpkin

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Vegetarian

6 ft big

Low Endurance

Medium Hostility

Chainsaw

pretty easy. He doesn't appear THAT much, but is pretty easy when he

does.

13. Lava Golem

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Inorganic

10 to 100 ft big

Medium to Extreme Endurance

High Hostility

Fireballs

Threat: Low to Extreme

At the beginning, this guy is easy. He gets harder and eventually is

pretty difficult. A good way to beat him is to keep away. Then, shoot

the fireballs. When they are gone shoot him before he shoots any more

fireballs.

///////////////////////////

14. Aludran Reptiloid, Common

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Cold-Blooded Reptile

15 ft big

Medium Endurance

High Hostility

avoid his Missiles.

///////////////////////////

15. Reeban Electro-Fish

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Aquatic Vertabrate

11 ft Length

16. Bio-Mechanoid, Major

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

30 ft big

High Endurance

High Hostility

Rocket Launcher

Threat: High

This guy is very dangerous. Especially if you don't defeat him quickly.

Destroy as fast as possible to prevent being hurt too badly by him. If

there are many enemies together, I recommend killing this guy first.

///////////////////////////

16. Bio-Mechanoid, Minor

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

15 ft big

Medium Endurance

High Hostility

Pulse Lasers

Threat: Medium

This guy is just like Major except he is much easier to beat and not as

dangerous.

//// V. Walkthrough \\\\\\

--------------------------------------------------------

Level 1

-------

This level is pretty easy, but hey, it's Level 1. Start out by getting

out of the lake. If you want, you can pick up the chainsaw (I've never

used mine, but you should still have it, just in case.) Equip your

pistil and head through the forest. You'll get to a clearing were a

swarm of enemies will attack you. Easily destroy them with your gun and

move on. Pick up the gun here, as it will help you soon to come. Go

forward to continue on the path, destroying the many enemies that come

your way. When you get to the end of the path, walk through the door.

Here, you will be in an area that separates where you just were and a

completely different area. This little spot will have a rifle right in

the middle. Pick it up and aim it at the big building. Shoot and easily

kill the big enemy. Soon about ten "Scythian Witch - Harpy's" will come

and attack you. Kill them with you rifle or with another weapon-your

choice. Then, go through the door to the next area. This area will have

a bunch of enemies. A lot of them will charge at you. You can pick up

the Serious Speed if you want to go faster. When you have killed all

the enemies, enter the temple.

This temple is pretty straight forward. All you have to do is walk

right through it. Make sure to pick up the flamethrower as it is very

useful. When you get to an area with a bunch of things going up and

down, BE SURE TO QUICK-SAVE. You will probably die a few times here. It

is pretty difficult and your timing has to be pretty good. However, it

is nothing you shouldn't be able to do. At the end, get ready to enter

another room.

The roof of this room keeps going up and down (two hits will kill

unless you wait forever to heal.) Go to the left and press A on the

symbol to push it in. Do the same on the other side to open the door.

Walk through the door. You should get outside. Follow the straight-

forward path to quickly get to the end. Congratulations! You beat Level

1!
